This role is a Committee MemberBrief Description
Manages the funds of the society and pays all bills owed by the society
Knowledge
- Financial experience is desirable
- Good knowledge of appropriate financial software is desirable
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for maintaining in good order the finances of the Society, as specified in the Constitution
- Pay bills on behalf of the society in a timely manner
- After a show has completed its run, calculate and submit the required ticket sales data to the licence holders, as stipulated in the licence agreement
- Submit at least quarterly reports of the Society’s financial position to the Management Committee
- In the absence of a Membership Secretary, take subscriptions
- Prepare the Statement of Accounts for audit, as soon as possible after the end of the financial year
- Attend Committee Meetings and provide timely updates for discussion
