Brief Description
Manages the funds of the society and pays all bills owed by the society
Knowledge
  • Financial experience is desirable
  • Good knowledge of appropriate financial software is desirable
Responsibilities
  • Be responsible for maintaining in good order the finances of the Society, as specified in the Constitution
  • Pay bills on behalf of the society in a timely manner
  • After a show has completed its run, calculate and submit the required ticket sales data to the licence holders, as stipulated in the licence agreement
  • Submit at least quarterly reports of the Society’s financial position to the Management Committee
  • In the absence of a Membership Secretary, take subscriptions
  • Prepare the Statement of Accounts for audit, as soon as possible after the end of the financial year
  • Attend Committee Meetings and provide timely updates for discussion
