Brief Description
Check and verify the society accounts after the end of the financial year
Knowledge
  • Basic knowledge of (Excel) spreadsheets
Responsibilities
  • Check all expenditure and income is accurately recorded and entered against the correct account on the day sheets
  • Ensure all income properly documented
  • Ensure receipts obtained for all expenditure
  • Check all items allocated to correct internal account and to correct show
  • Check Balance Sheet, Notes to Accounts, Individual Show accounts and Historic years account summaries all correct
  • Ensure all year end bank accounts and cash in hand match the corresponding entry on the accounts
  • Refer any discrepancies to Treasurer to complete or correct
  • Sign completed and correct balance sheet
  • Report on veracity or otherwise of the accounts to the AGM
