Brief Description

Manages all backstage and stage areas for all the society's productions

Knowledge

Health & Safety regulations as they relate to our society
Knowledge of the performance venue stage and backstage areas

Responsibilities

Safety of all members and others in the backstage and stage areas during a performance
Co-ordinate all backstage areas with front of house to start and end a performance
Liaise with Directors to discuss designing and building of sets
Attend Committee Meetings and participate in meeting discussions

Processes

	Monthly		Attend Committee Meetings and participate in meeting discussions
	Annually		Ensure maintenance checks undertaken on key safety aspects of stage
	Once shows are announced		Liaise with Directors and Lighting Technicians to discuss staging, designing and building of sets
	Pre-show		Check key safety areas on stage: - Flats are secure - Curtains are working and secure - Wing areas are clear of unnecessary items - Check all areas for trip hazards - Steps are clearly marked - Ropes are secure and not frayed
	Performance Nights		Liaise with Stage Manager/Assistant Stage Manager and House Manager/Lighting Technician to start/end show
