Assist the House Manager in front of house (i.e. audience) duties on performance nights
Knowledge
- Knowledge of seating plan for specific production
- Prices of programmes, raffle tickets, etc.
- Health & Safety regulations relating to the venue
- Location of First Aid boxes and who is the designated First Aid Officer
- Location of torches
- Ticket scanning app available on phone or tablet, if possible

Arrive by 18:30 and ensure you understand the layout of the seating to enable you to show audience members to their seats |

Ascertain from the House Manager whether you are needed to sell programmes/raffle tickets, or usher audience members to their seats |

Check with the House Manager whether you need to man the back door to assist any wheelchair users |

In case of seating disputes or misunderstandings, refer to the House Manager |

During the show: - Check with the House Manager whether you need to stand at a fire exit - If necessary, show any late-comers to their seats - Keep a watchful eye on the audience for mobile phones and for any potential problems |

At the interval, assist the House Manager to make sure the bar is emptied and the audience are ushered back to their seats |

At the end of the show: - Check everyone leaves safely - Help clean up the venue |
