Brief Description

One of 3-5 members making up the Selection sub-Committee, who research and recommend two suitable shows per year to the Committee, together with their relative production team, which must consist of at least a Director and, for musicals, Musical Director and Choreographer

Knowledge

Research licence holders and their available shows to perform

Responsibilities

Hold regular meetings to discuss shows and production teams
Choose two shows per year which are available and suitable for the society to perform and present to the Committee for approval
Review volunteer members who are willing to take on production team roles and match them to suggested shows

Processes

Date	Process
	After AGM		Meet to discuss possible shows for the year after next (e.g. May 2025 to discuss 2027 shows) Ask members for volunteers for production team for both shows
	June - November		Further meetings to agree shows and match to production teams
	November Committee meeting		If no suitable production team found, discuss whether to advertise roles externally
	January Committee meeting		Present two suggested shows and production teams for the following year. If none agreed/available, discuss options. Once agreed, ask Secretary to obtain licences.
	February Committee meeting		Confirm licences obtained or discuss further options
	AGM		Announce next year’s shows to members
