We had a fabulous night at the BATS Awards Dinner on Friday 29th August at the Last Drop Village.

Congratulations to Lindsay Farnworth for winning Best Supporting Actress (Sister Act) and Nora Howcroft for winning Best Director of a Musical (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels).

Well done to all winners and nominees, this was community theatre at its best in Bolton. 

We are thrilled to announce that our first show of 2026 will be "The Prince of Egypt - The Musical". 

Journey through the wonders of Ancient Egypt as Ramses and Moses, two young men raised together as brothers in a kingdom of privilege, find themselves suddenly divided by a secret past. One must rule as Pharaoh, the other must rise up and free his true people; both face a destiny that will change history forever.

The Prince of Egypt is a sweeping epic of a musical with music and lyrics by Grammy and Oscar winner Stephen Schwartz ("Wicked", "The Hunchback of Notre Dame"), a book by Philip LaZebnik, and 10 new songs written by Schwartz, together with five of his songs from the DreamWorks Animation film, including the Academy Award-winning song, “When You Believe.”

Our fabulous society has garnered no less than NINETEEN award nominations from BATS (Bolton Amateur Theatre Societies), ahead of their annual Awards Dinner on 29th August. Both our adult musicals - Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and Sister Act - and our AKT Junior Group production, Matilda Jr, have each received multiple nominations.
